Mac, her longtime friend and a Scottish professional footballer, offers to coach her through dating and intimacy. Their arrangement quickly exposes feelings that neither has handled honestly.

The friends-to-lovers foundation gives the romance warmth before the physical attraction takes over. Mac's confidence clashes nicely with Freya's doubts, and their shared history makes each misunderstanding feel rooted in fear rather than simple stubbornness.

The humor can be broad, and the love-coach setup follows familiar romance conventions. Even so, Freya's body confidence and Mac's growing awareness of how carelessly he has viewed their friendship give the story emotional substance.

Blindsided works well as a standalone within the Harris Brothers world. It is especially suited to readers who enjoy Scottish football, close friendship, teasing dialogue, and a high-heat romance with a tender center.
